The McCormack & Erlich Employment Law Firm Scholarship
Application Deadline: August 31, 2017
This scholarship is offered to a student with an interest in employment law, employment policy, or workers’ rights in general; or a student who has worked at a nonprofit organization or community group focused on employee rights, such as a legal aid society or labor organization.
Eligible applicants will be students who are currently enrolled in an accredited four-year undergraduate college, or law students at an ABA-approved law school. Applicants are also required to submit a brief personal statement (under 500 words) describing their aspirations related to employment law, policy or workers’ rights; and the steps they have taken to work toward achieving their goals. The scholarship will be awarded in September 2017 based on the quality of the personal statement.
The attorneys at McCormack and Erlich are dedicated to standing up for employees who have suffered illegal discrimination, harassment or retaliation in the workplace. We know the hardships employees face when they are wrongfully terminated, or are owed wages or overtime. The McCormack and Erlich Employment Law Scholarship aims to assist students, who are passionate about helping to protect workers’ rights and seek justice for them, by contributing toward the cost of their higher education.
